Absolutely crazy. I heard about this on the news last night. Did they ever determine what the cause was? It sounded like a gas leak to me.

yes it was a gas leak... either she left the oven on or a flexible line to the water heater or furnace or dryer possibly broke? The said they will never know for sure. The gas line was sound going into the home though

I have always disliked gas for that reason and don't have it now. Some people think it is an advantage for cooking but I wouldn't want it in my house.

gas is also used for a clothes dryer and water heater too. Unless they are electric.

The fire dept said it was the worst explosion they have ever seen.. The homes on both sides are gonna have to come down due to structural damage. It moved our home 1/2 mile away

Yeah but you can smell it when it is leaking. Electric is too expensive.

Only because an additive is put in the natural gas. As for electrics....hhmmmm I've had electrics before and a gas stove now. I can't say there's much difference in my light bill. Then again in the summer I try to use the outdoor grill so I don't have to run the stove and even better I don't have to run the central air as often.
