I could add a few more, but I'll get off the subject, lol. But anyone wants too add another?,why not.

1)What's everyone paying these days?
2)Are you driving less?
3)Are the food prices affecting your family?
4)Summer vacation?
5)Public transportation,taking it lately?

It's crazy how much of a difference living in a walkable community (college town for me) makes. I actually didn't even realize that gas prices were way up for the longest time (beyond seeing it on the news) because it's had virtually no direct impact on my life.

I'm paying about $3.65, but that seems to change every day! I commute 60 miles each way so it is definitely affecting me. I wish public transportation were an option, but as it is I would have to take 3 busses, and the commute both ways would take longer than my actual work day. Luckily I don't have to go anywhere for vacation, lol.

1. Between 3.65 and 3.73.
2. Not really, I have a 60 mile roundtrip commute to work.
3. Again, haven't really noticed.
4. Not this year, just can't afford it.
5. Wish I could, but it's just not possible. If I could take it, I would eliminate one of our cars.

Why are you getting mad at frank...he simply answered your questions? Does everyone have to share in your misery? Frank - I'm happy that all is going well for you! It's great that not everyone is affected negatively by this down economy.

Personally, I hope the gas prices continue to rise. It's not until people feel the hurt (in the pocket books/wallet) that they change their behavior. The environmental degradation + political ramifications due to our dependence on oil is problematic.

I guess you're another that it not hurting in this economy either, but so many people including me that are hurting in this mess that our past govt.has caused us to be in today. Not getting mad at frank, like I said I'm happy that he has what he has & it hasn't affected him yet.I'm not a "upper middle class" citizen like some people on here seem to be,but apparently there's not too many people on here that are "hard working blue collar" workers that this economy hasn't affected any things in our lives. There's probably a lot of them, but haven't seen them post anything on here yet.

Right...and folks that are doing ok in spite of this economy are doing so by sitting on their couches and eating bon bons. Hard work is not synonymous with "blue collar". I'm pretty sure doctors, lawyers, professors, etc work their a**es off, and made uber sacrifice to attain the educational status needed for their careers. No need to spite folks in Professional positions who work very hard every day.

And, no I haven't been too personally affected by the economy thankfully - though when I see others around me affected - it affects me. I don't believe it's correct to live in isolation and not help those in need. Though, I also don't believe it's necessary to force other to share in one's misery and become angered when their experience does not mirror yours.

I agree templeu on that, but things are getting worse in this economy in my eyes,it's going to hurt the people that are just getting by,living paycheck to paycheck.I kinda worry about what kind of life my kids are going to have in the future, but they are going to be successful, both in the medical field.I know there's someone else in the world that's worse off,I'm happy what I have, but it just gets tougher every week for the "average middle class" person.
