I am thinking of renting a shore house (1bd or 2bd condo/apt/etc...) for a week this summer down in Ocean City. I am very flexible in terms of when I do this and if it doesn't pan out no biggie. So I was wondering if there was some known way to wait till say Friday of the week before you want to rent and see what is left unrented and get a really good deal on something that otherwise was probably going to go unrented?
Maybe get a few hundred off or something.
Is there a website or known tactic to do something like this?
It depends when you want to try this. There will be some weeks unrented on some properties, but probably not in July or the beginning of August. I would try Craigslist, etc but there is also no reason you can't just call a realtor, they will let the owner know what your offer is and see if they'll take it.
