In the last month I have small black/ darkbrown bugs. At first I thought they were baby roaches. They do not move fast like a roach and are rather flat when you smash them. Has anyone in the south jersey area seen these bugs? If so do you know how to get rid of them. Do you know the name of this bug? I don't see a lot at a time. I can see one or two in a day. Somethimes around the sink, and sometimes just on an article of clothing.

You might have seen an earwig.

We had a couple when we moved into our old house. They like warm, moist, dark places, preferably outside.

Hopefully, this is what you have seen in your home.
We had the exterior of our home sprayed for carpenter ants and have never seen another earwig inside.
