Looking for a safe home in a township nearby, my place of work being center city, philly. What are my options apart from Stratford, Bellmawr. Are there other townships as closeby but much safer and better to live. Distance as close as Bellmawr from center city but better township in all respects. 2 / 3 bedroom house is under consideration.
well.. I get that Bellmawr isn't a premier school district, but we felt it very safe when we lived there (just moved out this year to a bigger place). My wife would frequently jog/walk at the local park on her own, there was very little crime other than an occasional stupid kid vandalism thing that you get anywhere. I still feel that the price/value equation is very favorable there for purchasing and as you said.. its very well located for travel.
I see that you are asking for alternatives around Bellmawr...
there is a big price/situation component in the mix. Where are $$$ wise, and are you looking to move in, willing to do some work, or are you renting?

Like bellmark said, price range helps. With that said, a Center City commute usually means a recommendation along the PATCO line towns: Collingswood, Haddon Township, Haddonfield, etc. and their immediate neighbors. My favorite alternative to the towns you listed is Audubon. Drivers into the city have easy access to the Walt Whitman while PATCO commuters can choose between Collingswood and Westmont stations.
