My husband and I are looking to move soon. We are looking for a good town with a good school system (good special needs program a must), low crime, and close to shopping. We thought these town might fit our criteria based on our research. Please let us know your opinions about these towns to aid in narrowing our search.

Thanks,

Maya

Overall, for schools, I would say Cinnaminson. Special needs is a very broad category, so I really can't address that. Your best bet is to call the schools & ask them direct questions, specific to your child. There should be a director of special services for each district. Be aware that that person deals with the county special services office but is paid by the district.

We use to have a friend who has a special needs son, they lived in Marlton but the father commuted to north jersey. They must have selected that town with that reason in mind. But I like Marlton of the 4 named towns. I may prefer Medford or Evesham even more though.

Uh, Marlton is part of Evesham.

I don't know much about Cinnaminson or Burlington Twp but Mt. Laurel and Marlton are both great towns with great schools. You can't go wrong in either of them.

I would say it would depend on where you have to travel to for work. You can't go wrong with any of the 3 ..

Like others said, Mount Laurel, Marlton or Cinnaminson are all good choices for towns and schools. I would base my recommendation on other factors not given like budget, work commute situation, etc.

I live in Cinnaminson, and my son had some delays, they did a nice job with him. I know a few parents of autistic kids who seem to be happy with the school. In fact one of them is a teacher in another district but lives here.

I also like the size of this district, it's big enough to have all the different programs, but not so large that your kid gets lost in the shuffle, class sizes are on the low side. Years later the teachers still recognize me because they aren't shuttling as many kids through their class each year.

The "indian" school districts seem too big (Cherokee, Shawnee, Lenape, etc) but that's just my opinion, many will disagree with me.,

Narrowing my search to Marlton and Mount Laurel. I just really need to know which one I should go with. Marlton appears to be more reasonable as far as taxes and cost of homes but Mount Laurel seems to be a more "solid" town. Am I wrong? Any thoughts? I have a special needs child Mt. Laurel seems to be a little better than Marlton. HELP!!! LOL My hubby is tired of me straddling the fence.

I think the answer to that comes down to where in each town and which school is involved. In all honesty, they are VERY similar towns and some people refer to Mount Laurel as a "more rural Marlton". Personally, I prefer Marlton, but I don't think you can go wrong with either.
