My husband and I found a wonderful home in Cherry Hill East. We are seriously considering putting an offer on the house today or tomorrow. The school system is phenomenal, the community is beautiful, however we are concerned about their autism program.

Does anyone have FIRST HAND knowledge about their special needs program? The director emailed me when I reached out but the answers to many of my questions were very vague . We are assuming that since the school is ranked so highly their special needs program must be good as well. I hate to make assumptions..Please help.

Thanks

Cherry Hill East is the same school district as the rest of Cherry Hill. There are two high schools... east and west, but they are actually divisions or campuses of the same high school.

Mods: The subject of the thread should be renamed to "Autism programs in Cherry Hill School District," then more people would know what it is about without clicking on it first.

Thank you. Is there a way to edit the subject without creating a new thread.

I checked back to see what level your child is at. Since he is in elementary school, did you contact the school that that housing development is assigned to?

This young man went through the Cherry Hill school system. One of his grandmothers was a family friend. Brad Hennefer

I have several friends that are teachers in the Cherry Hill school district. 5 years ago it was a great school district but it has severely declined and is riding on their past reputation only. Here's to hoping they try to turn things around.

Why do you say the above?

Cherry Hill is fine... The schools are as good as they were in the past. No need to worry...
