looking for guidance for child who wants to go to medical school......not sure about the route to go......any educational consultants/counselors who offer this serivce privately

I don't know of any that offer that kind of service privately. Are you unhappy with the resources available in your local school district? They all have counselors whose job it is to handle these kinds of requests.

Default Counselors at school are not helpful ........

that is why we are looking for a private counselor

Ah, well I don't have any personal recommendations, but I did find an association that represents the kind of people you are looking for and serves as a source for accreditation:

I used Exceptional Children Consultants, LLC. The name of our consultant was Dr. Grimaldi. Very informative, thorough and informative. By the way, the previous post mentioned the IECA credential. They have it. Well worth the $$ to make sure the process was done stress free. Bottom line...the school districts are not doing there jobs. You have to go outside and get independent expert assistant. You can google their name and get their info on the website.
