I'm planning to move for about a month so was wondering if someone knows of good rates at motels. Can be any motel. I know some people live at them longterm. It'll have to be in south jersey, like burlington pemberton or sicklerville, etc.
When I used to book corporate travel, and would have engineers flying back and forth for a month at a time, I would book them rooms at Extended Stay Hotels- I never had a complaint from my engineers.
It states on the website, "Lowest Price Guaranteed" ... Of course it was higher for us since it was a "corporate" agreement. You'll probably get a better rate ...
I looked up a few for you, call them and see which has the best offers ...
The best advice I can give you is to avoid the extended stay motels that dot the area around Route 73 and other major roads. These places are pretty much rat-traps and I wouldn't stay there if they paid me. Even some of the larger ones, like the Crossland Economy Studios are pretty bad. That one is right down the street from my office and the people walking back and forth from there and the constant cop cars racing to it is pretty telling of how bad it is. It's so bad that my company won't put people up there during snow emergencies (we operate 24/7) instead sending them to another place that is further away.
The recommendations that Curlybelle gave would be the same ones I would give. Any of the extended stay Marriotts or Staybridge Suites are going to be good choices and well worth the extra money spent. The Marriott Residence Inn Extended Stay at Bishops Gate in Mount Laurel (right near the intersection of 295 and 38) is the one my company uses for employees from other offices who are coming to the headquarters for a week or more. No one has ever complained about it and it's located in a professional office park and is going to be mainly all business travellers, not people using it as a halfway house.
I agree. Stay away from the places in "busy" areas. They have people staying there for LONG extended stays because they lost their homes, or whatever. Many people staying in one room which leaves people outside on the grounds all the time.
Choosing one off the main drag is best - assuming a car is available..
