I'm working in Cherry Hill this week, and after work today, I need to get to the KOP mall (there's a special store there I couldn't find over in South Jersey). What's the best way to get there during rush hour? Returning to U City is easy enough, but after that point, the Schuylkill is almost always backed up in both directions.
Would 73 to the Tacony Palmyra Bridge to 309 to 276 a better route at that time or is the Schuylkill/back roads adjacent to it the only way to go?
There really aren't many alternates. If you leave work at 5 though, you are going to be in traffic on the NJ side, especially if there is a Philly's game, if you take 76. I would think leaving CH at 5, you would be in KOP by 7, maybe 7:30. The alternate would be 276, but in my experience of driving to KOP around rush hour, it ends up taking the same amount of time. Best choice is to drive off-peak. If that's not an option, best bet is to just go straight up 76 and pray for no accidents.

Even though 276 takes about the same amount of time, do you find it's a more reliable route? Or is it really just the same in terms of accidents, random backup, etc?

It's more reliable until you get around Fort Washington, then it seems to be pretty much the same as 76 up through KOP. An accident or major backup on either basically means game over. Before you leave work, check the traffic reports. If there are any problems on 76, go for 276. If 76 is clear, then head that way.

no easy fast way. I have done it during rush hour and its a parking lot.. Good luck bud.. You sure there is NO stores closer?
It's a huge speciality antique shop (more like a warehouse) that has a lot of pretty artwork. I'm looking to get my gf a 1-year anniversary present and she likes that kind of stuff.
Working out here is pretty peaceful though. I can't say I'd be terribly upset if I were assigned there.

You could always take the drive to avoid some of the bottleneck (30th street st, Rt1, 476).
Definitely not the Rt 73 way. You are going North then West and South.
