I've lived in the city for the past 6 years (University, Manayunk, and most recently Society Hill). Ideally looking for find a location that will allow me to drive to Princeton rather care free (Traffic on 95 is brutal with the construction, even with traveling during non-peak times- leave at 6am, return at 8pm).
Also need something convenient for my girlfriend to access center city via public trans. Open to any and all suggestions. Ideally I'd like to reduce my commute somewhat, it's taking me 75 minutes door to door and her about a 15 minute walk.
There are many places including Evesham up to Burlington Township to places in Mercer County, and places in Bucks Co.
If you want a true mid point and the commute scaled evenly and in NJ, I'm not sure of the ideal spot, since it will harder for her on public transit commute than for you by drive.
Like Burlington Twp is closer to Princeton than Evesham is to Princeton. But by Evesham right where it borders Cherry Hill, it's a short drive to Woodcrest and she can take PATCO. Or, if you guys moved to Burlington Twp., there is the RiverLine stop at Florence. But that would require her ride on the RiverLine and a change trains to PATCO in Camden.
Is the girlfriend able to use to uise park and ride at a PATCO or RiverLine station? In Bucks County, there is direct train access to Philly.
Reviving this old thread because I have a potential scenario where I might commute to both Temple Univ. Hospital on some days and Princeton, NJ on other days. It looks like midpoint is Langhorne. Looking for something that is (1) safe, (2) good schools, (3) under 40 minutes to both, (4) a mix of housing options, like 2BR condos to single-family homes available under $400k. Any thoughts?
I lived in Langhorne for a bit. I worked in center city philly and went to night school in Lawrenceville NJ. If you can find a place in the areas that "Lucario" listed above you will be happy.
