My husband and I want to live no further than about 20 minutes or so from our daughter/family who live in Marlton NJ. But IN NJ. Marlton is pretty expensive so we need help finding a 2 b/r 1st floor with a patio with a w/d IN our place if at all possible apartment not too far from there. We are 61 and 64. We have health problems but are independent.
It's been a long time since we rented an apartment and just seeing some of the ratings is scary!
We hope to make this move long term so we do not want to make a mistake.
Some of the towns suggested are Medford, Mount Laurel, Delran, Williamstown etc. We are not that familiar with that part of NJ. We live just outside Phila now.
I have a condition that makes me heat intolerant. So the air conditioning must work very well!
Price range is $1,000-$1100. Would be great if less. We are on a fixed income, our credit is good.
We would live in a 55 and over place but seems there are few of them or they are communities with a huge entrance fee. My husband thinks we will be living with all 80 year old people in an over 55 place! I think there are advantages to them but am willing to look at places with any age people if it meets our standards.
Some have income guidelines which would be good if they are nice places, not section 8.
We are quiet but friendly people.
I considered hiring someone to help us since this search is harder than I thought but they charge a fortune and I don't think our interests are really the bottom line.
We would like to move anywhere from Nov 2013 through May 2014. We MUST be moved before Sept 19th 2014.
We don't have all the energy in the world due to being disabled so any honest help is very appreciated!
Thanks everyone

Have you looked at the Allison Apartments in Marlton? Their address is 31 N Maple Ave, Marlton, NJ 08053. Nice area, low crime. I have had good luck finding places with Trulia.com for renting.

Woodhollows Condo 2/2 unit are about $1200 a month for rent. They are about 1000 sq/ft. It's located in Marlton right of Rt 73 by Greentree road. Very convient to everything.

I suggested Ramblewood on your original thread on the main page and it's still worth a look. As others pointed out though, there are a large number of rental options in that area. Voorhess, some areas of Cherry Hill, Marlton itself and Mount Laurel are all convenient to your daughter in Marlton.
