Hi. My wife and baby daughter and I are looking to move south into NJ for a better lifestyle, and to get away from the high costs of suburban NY. We have family in Marlton - Evesham area, and they are very happy there.

I would like to know more about the area from people that know it well...what are the average home prices, how are the schools, recreation, etc. How about worship? We would be looking for Reform synagogues, as well as a respectable mix of people our age with young children that we can all grow up with.

We also like nice, old, historic walking around towns.

Any advice would be helpful.

We have lived in Marlton for over 20 years. It is a great place to raise a family. It is a large town, about as big area wise as Cherry Hill but has been able to maintain a small town feel. We have a great grammar and high school system. Great rec council. I coached girls softball for 8 years and really enjoyed it. There aren't Synagogues in Marlton but just across Rt 73 in Voorhees and Cherry Hill there at least 3. I'm not sure if any are of the Reform category.
Check out Kings Grant. You can find housing in all price ranges. Medford is only a few miles and it has a nice little town center.
