How does that work for someone that lived in NJ for 6 months then moved to Pa for the rest of the year and still working for the same employer. My sons employer deducted the Phila. wage tax on his entire income, and it appears to be the wrong rate. Its less than the non-resident rate for the entire year. Do you pro-rate the Phila. wage tax rate for 1/2 the year ? Then the Philadelphia employer did not deduct any NJ income tax. But they did deduct PA income tax for the 1/2 year he lived in PA. I bought Turbo-Tax thinking it would ask all the right questions ,I'm so confused.
