Hi everyone! I grew up in North Jersey and moved to Baltimore Maryland for college in 2001. I have truly enjoyed my life in Baltimore and lived in the White Marsh County area for a long time. I recently received an opportunity to transfer to New York to continue my career and of course the ability to live closer to family was the reason why I am moving. I am extremely excited about the new opportunity and most importantly have decided to live in West Orange due to the school system for my 10 year old son. I will be using the commuter bus to and from downtown New York. Do you have any suggestions on things I should do to make the transition for myself and my son a smooth one? what are your thoughts on the commuter bus from Turtle Back Zoo to New York? Any locations I should definitely visit with my son for attractions on the weekends? I am a single mother so any evening or night life activities would be greatly appreciated.

Hi NFLady...You might want to consider copy and pasting and moving this post over to the regular NJ forum, since this is the "New Jersey Suburbs of Philly" area.

This area is frequented more by folks in South Jersey like myself vs. folks in Northern NJ or NYC area.
