While we're on the topic, does anyone know of any Chinese food places, preferably in the Haddon Township/Collingswood/Cherry Hill area (but I'd be wiling to go further), that offer mock meat vegetarian dishes? Not just steamed vegetables, but vegetarian sesame "chicken", things like that? There are a few places in Philly for that, and there was one in Collingswood a couple of years ago, but I haven't found anything since that place closed and don't always feel like going over to Philly...

Have you tried Fusion Bay in Collingswood (Asian Fusion)? They have mock vegetarian and it was delicious when we went.

I haven't! That's the same building where the vegetarian Chinese restaurant used to be (possibly the same owners). I didn't realize that Fusion Bay actually had a few vegetarian items. Thanks!

We are here now. Just had dinner at Tori's Bistro in Clementon. Really good. Dinner comes with a great bread basket and salad. All meals made to order. Portions are large. I had the chicken Romano with mashed potatoes and a lemon arugala salad. My husband had seafood stew. Both were terrific.

There is an interesting blog on South Jersey cuisine:

Eating in South Jersey

They haven't updated in a couple of months, but there are a lot of good posts on the website about eating in South Jersey.

Francesco's on 73 in Berlin for Italian. Real sleeper of a restaurant.

Lobster House in Cape May was a favorite for 20+ years. But we only went in the off season. They still sell fresh fish in a market in front of the restaurant.

Glad to see Angelo's in Glassboro made the list as someone's favorite. 20+ years ago I ate there daily. Loved the roast turkey platter. I still remember one young waitress saying - "your ordering that again, that's all you order".

Carollo's Ristorante on Delsea Drive in Franklinville has excellent Italian food, with huge portions. We get one dinner take-out and the two of us get dinner and lunch each out of it! Pizza is good, with a thin crust. But not as good as I remember from my childhood in North Jersey. Eat-in service is very good. If you go there, check their website for coupons. http://www.carollos.com/

A Little Thai Kitchen and Pho Eden in Cherry Hill are both good, and they are in the same shopping center (Greentree Plaza). A few years ago I frequented Yokohama Sushi and found it to be very good, but I am not sure if it's still the same quality. It's in Maple Shade.
