I'm starting to consider a move to another part of southern NJ. I need something that has a rush hour commute of less than one hour to northern Philadelphia (near Temple University).

The catch is my fiancee works in Washington Township and she wants to find a house that is no more than 35 minutes from her job as well.

Any suggestions?

You have plenty of options. Getting to Philly from SJ is pretty easy from a lot of places. And going to Washington Twp will be reverse of traffic. What is your price range? What type of towns are you looking for? newer homes? walkable downtown? etc.

you don't say where you're from now but I'd say try Woolwich, Swedesboro, Mullica Hill.

Which county is the Washington Township your referring to in? There are a few Washington Townships in NJ.

I would say Voorhees, Cherry Hill area.

You can take the speedline to 12/13th and locust and transfer to the broad street subway to Temple and the drive the Washington Township from there would be about 30minutes.

Voorhees or Cherry Hill is right on. Lots of shopping, nightlife and 20-25 minutes into Philly. Your commute will be about 1/2 hour-40 minutes most. Her's will be 20-25 minutes going against the traffic. The Washington Twp to Philly commute is a nightmare! Stay away from there if you can.

Default How About Waretown? We're 40 MinsNorth East Of Cherry Hill Area

Waretown is a nice area. Relatively quiet, good school and near lots of area shopping (barnegat, manahawkin and forked river). We;ve lived here @ 18 years and have enjoyed it. We live in a great neighborhood and the people around us have been here as long as us and are wonderful people/neighbors. We're relocating though because of husbands job and to be closer to family that has recently relocated too. We have a 4-5 bedroom homel with an attached 500 sq ft in law suite (has its own full bath, full eat in kitchen, living room, bedroom and central air). The main house is @2800 sq feet with 4-5 bedrooms, 3 full tiled baths, walk up attic, deck off masterbedroom, living room, dining room family room, eat in lge kitchen, central air, gas fireplace, outside decking, in ground 20x40 pool, in ground hot tub, sprinkler system on a 100x250 lot. Real Estate taxes are Approx. 5400 and we're asking 406,000.00. Pics are available if you'd like to see the home. Good luck in your search
