It appears that the former Bally's Total Fitness building off White Horse Rd in Voorhees is to be an Echelon Health & Fitness. I saw a coming soon sign there.

I just did a google search, and it has a Facebook page as well:
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Echel...79835368866236

Anyone know when it opens up?

I'm glad something is moving in there as the dual vacancies on the road (former Genuardi's, and former Bally's) was making this corridor seem depressed. I also think the price point that nearby Virtua has it's basic memberships ($73/mo) is high enough that there will be people wanting a lower membership fee.

I don't think LA Fitness's strategy to not have taken this location so that people will go to Somerdale was sensible.

With activity increasing and hopefully some momentum, would Whole Foods or Aldi seem value in Echelon Village Plaza at the former Genuardi's space? I thought that space was fine and should have value for retail, but the freestanding Dunkin Donuts obstructed the view of front of the site.

There already an acme and a decent shop rite in the area, thought wouldn't say no to a wegmans .

I think the upper scale trader joes brand is a better fit for what the area is trying to become.

Acme owns the old Genuardis store. They bought it in a two pronged defense. To prevent higher rental costs from Eagle Plaza and to prevent competition from entering the market (presumably shoprite).
