Reports of a planned Camden County lead "overhaul" of Haddon Ave from the 295 exit on Haddonfield-Berlin Rd all the way through to the end of Collingswood. Planning to take place this year, work to take place next year.
Looks like the towns on the way (Haddonfield, Haddon Twp and Collingswood) are trying to use this as an opportunity for local improvements.
Unfortunately, I don't think the road and sidewalks are wide enough to accommodate major pedestrian amenities, particularly bike lanes, though they may look into adding those along the PATCO ROW. Apparently all the towns need sewer upgrades, so this work should help with that. Maybe a few crosswalks and curb bumps could be in order though. Even Haddon Township isn't too bad, pedestrian-wise, compared to the wider region.
Let's just hope they don't take out a car lane for bikes and pedestrians, let alone the (already metered) parking spaces on the Avenue in Westmont and Collingswood.
