Which do you consider a better area overall? Seems like you can get more "bang for your buck" for a house in Voorhees. What is your opinion of both areas?

I like Voorhees, but that's my personal opinion. It's more laid back and less congested than Cherry Hill, but also a broader socioeconomic range. Some people may steer you away from Voorhees since it feeds into a regional high school while CH has a full K-12 district that doesn't get any other towns feeding into it. As far as the school ratings go, CH is marginally better, but I see nothing at all wrong with the rankings in Voorhees and Eastern Regional HS. I personally think Cherry Hill these days is coasting on a past reputation from a time when its demographic was very different from today.

Look at tax rates in townships. You may get more in Voorhees or Evesham.
