There isn’t a distinctive LGBTQ+ community like Collingswood, but I’d say it’s LGBTQ+
welcoming. The Borough is predominantly latte-sipping liberal these days, and the (increasingly fewer) Republican voters in town mostly go Red for fiscal reasons. It’s friendly enough that I’ve seen gay couples holding hands and walking down the street without incident, if that answers your question.
That said, while I’m a proud ally, I’m not LGBTQ+ myself. Take a stroll down Kings Highway, do some small business browsing and grab a meal, and trust your gut.
