The house we are renting is up for sale, as we don't plan to extent our lease. We have tow minors, 13 and 15. What are some showing rules we can ask for? Don't want to give anyone a hard time but have now idea what's being done in this regard.

Thanks!

When I rented out my old house, I included the terms for showings in the lease. Our rules were that the place needed to be presentable and "ready to show" within 24 hours notice of an appointment. We also limited showings to no earleier than 9am and no later than 8pm.

Having been a renter in your position, I think it is reasonable to ask for at least 24 hours notice for any showings and give a no earlier than and no later than clause. I think your landlord will find this reasonable. Just remember though, that the more accomodating you can be, the better the taste you will leave in the landlords mouth when it comes to your security deposit.

Check your lease. It may say something about it.
