You know winter has it hands down for me.....power goes out...no worries ..some candles and a fire in the fire place to keep me warm. Use the out side grill to cook on....food should be ok for awhile or even put in a cooler out on the deck
Power goes out in a heat wave like this...I suffer...no air....fridge temps go up quick, ruined food...we have never thought about buying a generator...might be a good idea
Still like a nice snow fall, one where you are not going to venture out to drive....fire...good book or movie..ahhhh bliss
Last summer was miserable because it wasn't hot enough.
I sure didn't notice that (seriously), but I also don't remember battling heat waves much last summer, either, so it must not have been as bad as this summer (bad from my perspective, of course).
Give me 80-85 degrees, 10 percent humidity, and blue skies abundant sunshine, and outdoor activities, 365 days out of the year. Being inside a structure is not appealing to me, unless if it's after dark.

that temp is ok with me (maybe a little cooler) but I need more than 10 percent humidity. plus give me about 20-25% overcast skies or rain. i have dry skin to begin with, and would probably look 15 years older than I do if I lived in your climate. never mind the skin cancer, lol.
You people would really rather dress in layers, deal with ice, traffic delays and car accidents than dress light, go boating and to the beach and enjoy the outdoors? Wow!

Unless it's 74-78 degrees with NO humidity....yes prefer the snow
and many people enjoy the outdoors in snow...think skiing, ice skating, sledding, ice fishing....
