Hey Guys!

I'm looking to apply to Seton Hall Law in Newark this Fall. Now, I've heard the Newark horror stories. Is Newark truly the pit everyone paints it as? Seton Hall Law is off of the McCarter Highway, on Raymond Boulevard in Downtown Newark. Is this a bad area to rent? What's there to do? I love an urban vibe, but want to live in an area I can feel safe/comfortable in.

What's Jersey City or Hoboken like? Are they safe? Easily commutable to/from Newark? Is it expensive? What are your suggestions for me? Thank you so much for your time and patience, and I look forward to your responses!

Newark isn't as bad as it used to be , there are still bad parts of the city but there shrinking. Hoboken is the most Expensive of the 3. You should look into Historic Downtown Section of Jersey City or the Ironbound section of Newark if you want a Urban Vibe and safe place to live.

No more of a "pit" than Conn's impoverished areas.
