Garfield - chromium leak in soil? (school, town, factory)

Hi All,

Came across old article of a factory that caused a leak in Garfield soil..

One realtor I spoke with knew nothing, and another said it has been cleared since it was many years ago..

I wanted to know if there was any truth to that or if there have been effects found in long-term residents..thanks.

PS I know about Garfield in general otherwise and am fine with the town itself (don't use school), it's just this old news of chromium in the soil is a big question mark.
