My mom has been diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy 3 years ago and she is seen twice a year by a retina specialist. However, she is not too happy with the services provided by her current MD and would like to see another retina specialist. Her case is somewhat rare because she is actually not diabetic, and her MD only monitors her to see if there is any disease progression.
I would like to know if there is anyone here that would recommend a retina specialist in Northern NJ.
Not exactly but if you're near Union City, try Hudson Eye Specialists on 22nd & Bergenline, 201-601-2020. I was very pleased with the doctor I had and the general experience when I went there for an eye problem. It's extremely modern and professional which one wouldn't necessarily expect on Bergenline (land of 99-cent stores). The entire practice is focused on eye problems and there are a number of doctors so there's probably a retina specialist.
