I guess airport noise in the day is fine but what about noise during the night - 8Pm and onward? Will I wake up at 3am and be like, wtf - especially if I choose to live on terrace ave or oldfield ave in hasbrouck heights?
I'm also looking at Secaucus but decided not make an offer on this one property due to it's close proximity to the hackensack river (more smell than flooding).
Hasbrouck Heights is my favorite out of the 3. It has the best downtown area IMO- Rutherford could arguably have a better DT, but I prefer HH's location. I love how Terrace Ave in HH is nestled on a cliff- it offers nice views of the NYC skyline, the meadowlands, and the planes landing at Teterboro airport.
You can't go wrong with any of them, they all have their own charm. But Fort Lee is probably my least fav our of the three- The town is nice overall, though.
Rutherford is one of the best kept secrets in Bergen County. 27 minute commute to NY Penn Station on train. Great schools, great town. Rarely hear any airplanes.
