Apts. within 30 Min. of Morristown (Newark: apartment complexes, safe neighborhood, to live)

A friend is relocating right away to NJ for a job in Morristown. She needs a 2-bedroom apt. (other family moving with her) within a 30-minute commute. Her relatives are hoping to get hired at the Newark airport, so they want to live between Morristown and Newark/NYC. Please recommend some apartment complexes, realtors, towns. I think they can spend up to $1300/mo. I need to know if that is an unrealistic figure for something in a safe neighborhood. They don't have pets.
