Hi, do you have any recommendations regarding Woodbridge, NJ? I was looking for homes over there and I would like to know areas to avoid, how the commute to NYC is, living there, etc.
Thanks,

Generally, the parts of Woodbridge Township to avoid are Hopelawn, Keasbey, and most of Avenel. Fords, Iselin, Port Reading and Sewaren are fair, and most of Woodbridge proper and Colonia are the most desired parts.

For commuting to NYC, you've got three train stations in Avenel, Woodbridge, and Iselin (Metropark). Avenel is a platform only (no station) with limited service and no parking lots. Woodbridge has parking, but it's usually quite full, while Metropark has plenty of parking at all times.

What's your budget, and what are you expecting to get for that $$?

Thank you for the recommendations! I am looking for a 2 bed/1 or 2 bath, nice yard, kitchen, and in good shape single family house. I am looking for something with good potential for reselling. The budget is around 250K.

If you don't need the house for yourself, then you should do something else with those $250K. There are plenty of vacant homes in Woodbridge Proper for way less than $250K; that have been sitting for over a year with no success in selling them...........reconsider the idea!
