Here in Hunterdon County for the last 2 days we have been bombarded with stinkbugs. It is truly disgusting. They are all over the vinyl siding on my house and on the window screens. We have a contract with a pest service and they called us about an additional stinkbug removal contract, so I guess we're not the only ones being bombarded...but we have heard that nothing works against them. Anyone find anything that does?

There were some threads in the PA forum about this. Apparently this is pretty wide spread.

I'm in Warren County. We are infested as well. As far as I know, there isn't any way to get rid of them.

Here is an interesting blog on them from the Daily Record (kind of funny):

i had these in college in the lehigh valley in PA. very annoying. i saw one (i think, but when i killed it it didn't smell horrible so i dunno) in my house in west orange. I don't really know how to get rid of them, but i would figure a pest service should be able to handle it.

at least they're not bed bugs!

That's part of the problem, the exterminators haven't found a pesticide that kills them yet.

OMG. I'm such an idiot! I looked up "stink bug" after reading this thread. For over a year now, I've been wondering what these strange looking bugs that keep getting into the house are. I've been trapping them in a paper cup and chucking them back outside! Haha. Not really helping the cause, am I?

Me too, and FWIW, I also found this article immediately below the pictures in google.

But really, I think finding this article was too easy, so I understand if it is not really helpful. How to Get Rid of Stink Bugs

I sprayed 2 of them (1 yesterday and 1 today) with Home Defense, they both died.... We are getting them daily. I have sprayed my whole house but that doesn't work to prevent them or kill them when they come in. You have to literally spray the stinkbug in order for it to work.

My suggestion is to get a roll of good duct tape. When you see one make a little ball with the tape and just tap the bug. It wont cause it to stink and you can toss it in the garbage. If its good strong duct tape it wont get loose.

Does spraying it cause it to stink? I am trying to find some sort of hands off solution to dealing with these guys when I see them. I have a slightly irrational fear of bugs, and I don't want to go anywhere near them...
