Someone suggest that you google NJ Monthly high schools and you will see a list of ranking of all NJ high schools.

But, that list is somehow outdated; it is like Nobel Prize winners who got the prize not for their current work, but for work dozens years ago ...

Nontheless, it is a good reference ... do click to many factors how they think a high school is good or bad, and based on your own situation to pick one ...

For example, Montgomery ranked high, but its 9th grade has almost twice the 12th grade, that means many good students educated from other good schools district moving there, NOT that these good students "educated" by the Montgomery school district... So, if your kids need good school education, Montgomery may not be a good school for your kid. But if your kids have been very top and need more challenge or competition, it may be fine.

Another example was that my Citicorp colleague whose daughter got #1 in NJ French competition when grew up at Catholic school at Hoboken, then they move to East Brunswick later due to husband friend live there, so then East Brunswick got the honor from her daughter. So if you want your kid to have best Frensh education, you may want to go to that Catholic school at Hoboken, NOT East Brunswick.

My brother-in-law's son whose FBLA teammate, after spent all 11 years at Piscataway Township schools, got NJ #1 in State competition and going to Chicago for National competition. But, his teammate's parents moving to Mountain Lake, so if he transfer to Moutain Lake High School, you will see next year, he may win #1 on FBLA competition for Mountain Lake High School who got the honor, but I know he has been "educated" from K to 11th grade at Piscataway township school. So, my brother-in-law's family has been trying to help him and convince him to stay at Piscataway High School by providing rides and many other support.

3 of my grandchildren have or did attend the Pitman School system as I did many years ago. They have to be one of the best educational systems in the state. The town itself is very small (about 1 sq. mile I believe) but does have a cute downtown shopping district. Their are no grocery stores or malls in Pitman you have to go to the next town Glassboro for any real stores but public transportation is excellant and it's less then a mile to the shopping in Glassboro. If your looking for a home with any acreage to it, Pitman is not the place to look, most homes are fairly close together. But all in all I would recomend Pitman or even Mantua Twp which is north of Pitman as great places to raise a family.
