So much money is poured into the Newark school system. How will this $100 million make things any better? I'm not knocking the donation, just concerned with how this money will make a difference. Maybe it will go towards after school programs and extracurricular activities?
Thats actually a great idea. My plan for the 100 million dolllars would for every A your kid EARNS parents would receive 1K. Thats just about the only thing that will get parents to care. I hate to sound like a broken record but money is not the problem. Parents and that lack of a support system is 99% of the problem. The problems of Newark are systemic and have just become the norm.
Parental Apathy
Lack of Fathers
Mistrust of Government
Drugs and Alcohol
If parents in Newark cared their kids would learn just as well as the kids in Westfield do its just that families actually care. I do feel bad for the families that actually care and the kids cant get an education because they have a bunch of morons surrounding them in schools.
I Dare any of you to walk into a 7th or 8th grade class in one of these failing schools. Most of you would run out in an 1 hour. Those teachers are fighting for their lives in those classrooms.
Crazy and sad sad stuff.

Well....I'm not afraid of being politically INcorrect so I will knock this dopey kid for giving Newark $100 million dollars which most assuredly be a waste either due to minimal results, scamming or "misplaced funds".
This money could have been of great use directed better elsewhere such as kids with cancer, paralyzed vets, etc. not dumped in the cesspool that is Newark.

Interesting idea but god knows what they would spend the money on.

Well he shouldn't just give a blank check without strings attached. If that's what he did then there's certainly a higher risk of the money being wasted.
i have too many of my own issues to worry about rather than where a private citizen's money is going.
