Hi,

My wife has got a job in jersey city and we are looking to move out to someplace she can commute to jersey city using mass transport(Light Rail, NJ transit etc.). I heard Bayonne is an eligible place. Can you please tell me about more such places. City and Apartment names etc will be of great help.

Thanks,
Vipul

Newport is where there is a PATH subway/train station now called Newport/Pavonia. Before it got all built up the Pavonia station used to close overnight, but I'm talking maybe 20 years ago when it was just unbuilt overgrown weeds. Anyway you can basically live most anywhere you can catch a train to Newark Penn Stn or Hoboken and take the PATH train in.

What does that have to do with working in JC? Thats more like 30 years ago , Newport Revelopment took place during the late 80s and 90s.

You can find a decent Apartment in Historic Downtown section of JC , Newport is abit pricey. Jersey City Heights , is also a neighborhood you should look at. Bayonne is a nice city , but is quiet and isolated.
