I've never taken it personally, but I have heard that you have to get to the bus very early to make sure you get a seat.

I have made the drive to Elizabeth for the past 5 years (from the East Dover section to the Bayway area). I would leave at between 6-6:30 and could make in in just over an hour barring any accidents which thank goodness are rare. The drive home was always longer because of Parkway and local traffic.

I don't know about the bus but I would assume that it is usually on time since traffic is pretty predictable.

That commute is awful. 2+ hours door to door on the train.

NJ Transit Bus 67: Toms River to Newark.

Sounds like the commute's gonna be rough. Good luck!

I don't think there is a train running from TR to Newark. The last stop of the NJ coast train stops in Bay Head and that ride is almost 2 hours.

That was my implication. Drive from TR to Bayhead, hop on the NJCL. 2+ hours easy.

Thought there was a NJ Transit bus that took about 1-1/2 hours.

You are correct. 2 1/2 hours minimum with that scenario. I think a bus would be faster.
