I think we did this once before and I determined that I had been to every county in New Jersey at least once except Cumberland, so I've basically seen every region of the state, but there are certainly towns I have yet to visit.
I've never been to Wildwood, Cape May etc. Probably never will either. I really have no interest at all in the NJ shore. I did go to LBI many years ago, it was really boring.

Cape May is worth the drive IMHO-it's a much different animal than the rest of the shore. You don't find places like this at Seaside.

I'm sure it is different than Seaside, just not a big fan of east coast beach towns in general. I've been to beaches in DE and MD as well as NJ, just find them boring. If I'm going to go to a beach, I would rather be in the Caribbean.

hmmm, what's exciting about a Caribbean beach? in terms of "excitement", aren't they all the same? sand and water? LOL
Delaware bay is a unique place. You can actually watch the sun set from the beach. Sunset beach has a old-fashioned ceremony every evening just before sunset, they play either "God Bless America" or "The Star Spangled Banner" ( it's been a while) over the PA while they lower the flag. Kind of hokey but cool nonetheless.
I did the same once! It was in Fortescue, and it was early March, 1990, when the temperature was, unbelievably, almost 90 degrees that day. I had the whole strip to myself, and it was an incredibly memorable and serene day.
For those of you who haven't been around Delaware Bay, or are unfamiliar with, you should spend more time there. I really love this region of the state, but it's probably because I am a fan of rural, off the beaten track locations. One of my very favorite places in NJ is the small village of Greenwich, in Cumberland County, about 10 miles south west of Bridgeton. It's like going back in time 40 years.
There really aren't any places in New Jersey that I would describe myself as unfamiliar with. Though I was raised in Northern NJ, I regularly took weekend road-trips by myself where I explored many back roads, south of the AC Expressway, and when I had several friends that lived in Atlantic County, I made intentional detours home driving through this region. I have been privileged to have traveled in all 21 counties several times, and will always hold great memories of many places and landmarks.
For the most part, South Jersey. The furthest I've been to is Seaside Heights and I95 heading to Delaware. Never been to AC, Cumberland County, Salem County, Wildwood, Cape May, Vineland. South Jersey to me seems creepy though especially since they have nothing but farmland, ocean and nuclear power plants as far as I know.
Hmmmm, seems like you're making a wide generalization based on very limited information. Kinda sounds like prejudice, which you rightly criticize in other posts. Just a thought....
I've been everywhere. The only parts I haven't traveled too well are the Northwestern counties.

Lol, we think that it seems scary, because there aren't any farms. Also there's only two nuclear power plants, and one is in "North Jersey" (it's by Toms River).
