I am starting to look into the satellite companies. I am not going to miss the Yankees playoffs because of some cable dispute.

I am getting fed up with Cablevision. It seems like they are constantly having these disputes. Plus Cablevision still doesnt have NFL network.

Anyone with satellite mind sharing the total of their tv/internet/phone bill?

i love FiOS. i'm done with cablevision and would never go comcast. satellite is good, but i keep hearing from people that a snowstorm or some heavy rain knocks the signal out. so i dunno...

they all go through these disputes though. blame the networks just as much as the cable companies.

If it's on Fox 5, then it would be in the air for free, as in the proper way to watch TV. You don't need to pay anyone for that.

I have my cell phone with Verizon, and with the customer service they offer, I would not want to do any more business then I have to with them.

Verizon is awful. The customer service is absolutely terrible.

Cablevision is NOT to blame for this one. News Corp. (just like ABC) is trying to gouge cable companies and make them pay exorbitant prices to carry signals that are available for FREE over the air. And you know what happens if Cablevision accepts these fees? They're passed on to YOU, the customer!

So before bashing Cablevision, take a look at how FOX, ABC and some of the other networks are now trying to raise YOUR cable bills for stations that are broadcast for FREE over the air!
