Thanks Tahiti but hogwash imo.... it'a a wash as it is like the middle of the night now at 6AM therefore LIGHTS...lol
yeah, i don't leave for work that early so later sunrise doesn't bother me. when my kids start HS they need to be at the bus stop at 6:30am so I'm sure I'll be griping about it then, LOL.
It was done to keep some light for the Halloween kids out on the street that time of the year.
It was done to keep trick or treaters out later at night so the candy companies would make more money. The candy industry has lobbied Washington for years for this and G Bush finally gave in.
Well, I don't really mind one way or the other. I LIKE going to/coming from work when it's daylight, but I really don't enjoy driving near sunrise or sunset ... too much glare! So I kinda like commuting in the dark, too.
Ooooo, speaking of Halloween, maybe I'm becoming a vampire

Thankfully, we don't live in Northern Alaska ... now THAT's REALLY screwy!
I wish DST were on all year long. I couldn't care less if it is dark in the morning. I rarely leave the house before 7:30am anyway. OTOH, coming home from work in the dark is just depressing - gives me borderline seasonal affective disorder.
I like the fact I can do "leaf management" (I've got a sh**load of leaves) in the early evenings on week days.
