Default Love it!

My wife and I purchased a ranch close to the High School. We feel we got a good bang for our buck, live on a quiet street, and are close to everything! No complaints here. Taxes are slightly high, we pay $6600 for a 3 bed, 1.5 bath, 100X105 foot lot...

I would expect the town of spotwood (and helmetta next door) will disappear soon with the governor pushing for little towns to merge with larger ones. If it were to become part of East Brunswick, it would probably be a good thing for house values. Besides that, just do not drive through the town if you do not live there. You will probably get a ticket for something stupid.

i personally lived in monroe (next town over) for 18 yrs... i dont like the area, its boring - not many things to do within the area. however, its close to rt 18, the parkway, and turnpike so atleast you can drive to places easily. most of the houses in spotswood too are old and need renovations.. you dont get much property either. There is just too much population for the area as well.. lots of traffic around the way too - I hate it here!

You're getting Spotswood and Helmetta mixed up with Milltown and Highland Park.

My sister lives in Spottswood on a beautiful cul de sac. The whole area consists of houses 5 years and younger. They are quite large with a good size property. She has a beautiful in ground pool in her yard with lots of extra space. The schools are also good. And yes it is very convenient to get to all the major highways. Also, 20 minutes from the beach!!

East Brunswick is pretty nice and right next door.. I would definitely look there over Spotswood because of the education quality..
