There's a Red Oak diner in Fort Lee that's good, too.

Agreed. Too many to choose from.

Pompton Queens is pretty good.

There's nothing like being in a New Jersey diner at 3AM.

Very good call about the State Line, Mightyqueen. I have eaten there many times, mostly in the 90s, when I worked in that area, though none recently.

I've been there more then a few times for lunch back in the early 2000's and man did they have great lunch specials!! The amount of food you get plus a huge piece of cake for dessert! That thing was almost the size of the enitre cake itself!! I vote for that place!!

Idea for a new thread since we have a thread on favorite diners and the NJ picture thread, why don't we or someone start a NJ Diner picture thread? Take pix of your favorite Diners and post on this website.

Don't know if it's still open but I always loved The Miss America Diner on Westside Ave in Jersey City

Talk about absolutely everything, the last time I went to Mastoris, there were 85 different sandwich platters on the menu alone, and the side orders comprised an entire page. I wouldn't be surprised if management added fried foreskin rings to the menu. On one occasion, I did a lobster tail with crabmeat, on another occasion, scrapple! That's how diversified the menu is.
