we have both - I think Wii is better for younger kids. My kids are 12 and now are strictly xbox'ers.

Graphics are better on X-Bx and PS3 and besides now you can get the same type of interactive controllers for X and Ps as you can Wii so Wii's edge is pretty much lost.
thanks...i'm gonna have to think is over a bit more. Ps3 and xbox are more than what i was looking to spend.

Unless you or your husband are regularly going to be buying and playing games, I would go with the Wii. Much better for kids, its cheaper, and it comes with the sports pack of games which is pretty fun

I have all 3 and for streaming netflix and watching blu ray PS3 is def the best option.
Wii is better for young kids
Xbox is better for serious online gamers as they have a very well designed online community. For streaming netflix on the xbox you actually need to subscribe xbox live service which comes out to a few dollars per month.

Think about it like this... video game console/Blu-ray player it's 2 in one. so for the price your getting both, if that helps any.

We have 4 children ages 10-19 and we have Wii, xbox and PS3! The Wii is more suited to the younger kids, xbox is all about the games for the teen boys and PS3 is our movie player and also gets some game use. Good luck with your selection.

XBox and Wii are one of the reasons why this country is in the shape it's in. Instead of being outside playing (in good weather) or doing things like reading a book, people sit in front of these things for hours on end. My advice, don't buy either one!
