I found Bistro Ole in Asbury, but it seemed a little more eclectic, not really typical Portuguese food.

Any other suggestions?

Default Pearl of Lisbon

Whenever I ask the Portuguese residents of Long Branch, they recommend Pearl of Lisbon on Broadway. Havent tried it yet but was passing by today around 6-7pm and there were at least four big tables of customers. So I thought I should try it out soon. Pearl is likely a traditional restaurant whereas Ole is more modern and innovative. There is a big Portuguese/Brazilian community in Long Branch.

I haven't been there yet, either, but I've passed by that restaurant and wanted to try it, too.

I ate there this summer. It was pretty good. Not great, but pretty good.
