Of course I don't have any links but it's been said and referred to many times. The Christie supporters attack the haters over credibility but not one Christie supporter has any information saying that he didn't say it or hint to it. Sheep are going to be sheep.

BTW, I'm not a Christie hater or supporter.
Those making the claim are the ones who bear the burden of proof. The OP made a claim (generally makes lots of claims) and failed to provide any proof to support the assertion. No "Christie supporter" is necessarily denying that he may have said it, they are just looking for the actual proof that he did indeed make that statement. Some have even gone so far as to try and find it themselves but have had no luck.

I feel the "proof" issue revolves more around issues with the OP and their lack of backing up their claims. However, they are claiming hypocrisy and that type of claim does bear a burden of proof for the accuser.

I love the idea of proving a negative - for example, I am not beating my wife.

Like I said earlier, it seems to have started in mid-July, but as far as I have seen it appears o be extrapolated from the fact that the $175K is both his proposed cap and his salary.

I did see the article in the Bergen Record over the weekend that I linked to; not sure if the S-L had the same article that the OP read. I did not read Saturday's S-L.

I am happy to have voted for Christie, and support much of what he is doing to help the state climb out of its financial quagmire. His critics complain that he hasn't made the changes he has promised, and why he isn't looking at B, C, and D on his list. The guy has been in office for 10 months. The state has been mismanaged for years (decades?). It can't be fixed overnight.

If this is what the anti-Christie crowd is hanging their hat on, he is in pretty good shape.

Funny that he had no problem with his wife getting a huge raise for working on Wall Street. Guess he forgot all the problems they caused.

For all the "good" he is doing for NJ, it sure didn't help the Republicans pick up the most important seat (Christie said so himself) in the state elections a few weeks ago.

He likes to go out of his way to bash the state democrats. Newsflash, the democrats hold the majority in the state legislature and nothing will get done until Christie puts the ego down and actually tries to work Bipartisan. The democrats have tried to meet him halfway on several legislations only for him to veto the bills.

LOL, he has done quite a bit or you wouldn't hear the left squealing like it is! Fortunately the chief executive position in NJ is quite strong.

Well let me use some Christie logic for you. Christie runs the ENTIRE STATE. His friend at the present time is "reshaping" the school construction co. and makes 195K. What does he deserve? Why dont you tell me. You cant see how Christie is wrong on this one? If Christie argument is that a super shouldnt make more then him for overseeing 10 sometimes 15 schools how in the world should his boy make 195k? Come on its clear as day. Let me post the link so that you dont cry foul or just plain old cry.

He hasnt exactly done a lot of anything. He has tried and he has barked but honestly not much has changed. I would wish he actually focused on solving certain probems like pension abuse instead of jumping from subject to subject every other day.

Ok so you are admitting you have no idea how much the guy should make. Sheesh. Why don't you just say so!
