I am moving to Clark and I need to know the best way to get to work in Newark. Some say Cranford, Rahway, Linden???? Parking looks to be a big issue! I will be living off Raritan Road, close to Barnes & Nobel. PLEASE HELP. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Cranford's probably the closest.

They've got an outdoor lot, about two blocks from the station, that will run you around $8 per day.

Your two best bets will be
Rahway has a parking deck across from train station
Cranford has the outdoor lot

Check the train schedules from both stations to see which will
fit you better

Default Thanks!

Thanks for your help. $8.00 a day to park - WOW.

Rahway serves to lines, both of which go to Newark Penn, so the trains come ALOT more frequently than the Cranford line. Also parking is cheaper/more plentiful in Rahway. Monthly passes are much cheaper than $8 per day.

You have to make it to Walnut Ave either way to go to either stations (at least that's the fastest way IMHO) so on balance Rahway has alot more to recommend it.
