When I lived in the city the streets are narrow so on occasion during snow storms people would shovel out there walks and cars and throw snow back into the streets. Now I live in the burbs and most people have driveways. I saw about 5 idiots throwing the snow back into the strret after they were plowed. The have tons of room to place the snow in piles next to the street. I don't know maybe it's me but this is annoying.

People do what's easy, without thinking of others.

I'm certain these are the same morons who think it's okay to drive around with a sheet of ice 12 inches thick on top of their cars.

I hate stupid people!

JM - I always say that I'll 18" of snow where I am now over 4" in the city. Do you agree? Jersey City and Bayonne, etc are absolute NIGHTMARES when it comes to snow removal. It's got to be so hard now, they LITERALLY have nowhere to put it!

Anyway, yes, you're right, I don't get it. we have all the room in the world, yet people feel "entitled" (there's that word again!). I'm with timneh5 on this!

I went into work Wednesday AM during the "first" part of the storm and I was AMAZED how many people had snow on their roofs.

That's absolutely crazy. I've never seen anyone do that if there is room elsewhere.

LOL. I guess after they threw the snow back into the streets, they get into their car with the snow all over it and drive to annoy me AGAIN.

No, not where there was room to put it otherwise.

In a city, yes, I've seen that, sometimes you don't have a choice.

The thought process is that the traffic of people driving over it all day combined with the road salt will help melt the snow. It's not as completely moronic as it first appears. I don't see the point in it since as you pointed out there are better options for snow piling locations than in the street.
