Which is a better county with better schools? I have been told that taxes are lower at Morris county? Also, is there a difference between Boonton and Boonton township? Boonton Township kids go to Mountain Lakes for schools?

Morris County is much less densely built and consists mostly of new construction. Bergen County is older and more developed. Bergen is also a little bit closer to NYC, although not that much by train.

Boonton is a fairly densely built place, but Boontown Twp is lightly built, and there is a long way from one house to another. You don't really have neighbors or a neighborhood in Boonton Twp, which could be good or bad depending on your perspective. Boonton has something of a Pakistani immigrant community, but it's not very big. Boonton Twp is wealthier, but not by that much.

Schools and taxes vary based on individual towns. You can't really make generalizations between counties that would be meaningful.

If you get any answer for this question, it'll be very broad and generalizing. Best to compare town vs. town. Both county have some good schools and some not so good schools.

Boonton Township students are zoned for Mountain Lakes High school. For k-8, they have their own schools. Mountain Lakes has some new construction, but the dominant style of housing stock is early 20th century Craftsman homes.

Boonton and Boonton Township are totally different towns. Different councils / schools everything. Only the name and the zipcode are the same!

Franklin Lakes and Wyckoff are very similar, with FL trending more affluent, although Wyckoff is hardly poor. I would say the schools are equal at the elementary level.

Oakland, Wyckoff and FL then share the Ramapo-Indian Hills district for HS, consisting of Ramapo and IHHS. Both high schools are excellent.
