I wish the PATH would extend northward to Weehawken and Union City It seems the line is already pointed in the right direction going north from jersey city to Hoboken...probably not in my lifetime if ever

Nexis - 120,000 projected for MOM line and they haven't fast-tracked this thing? I have to imagine the number of people who take buses from the southern Middlesex, north Monmouth area is huge. Do you know if Old Bridge/East Brunswick would be included?

If they build the Millville line before I'm retired, and I'm still in College, I'll eat my hat, and be pretty darn happy to do so.

Jamesburg , Freehold keep holding it up due to the fact NJT wants to use a Rail Trail which it owns as ROW ,that line would get 60,000 according to the state. NJT had to redraw the route ,but that wouldn't get that high a ridership only 70,000 for 2 lines as opposed to 60,000 for 2 lines. Freehold recently dropped there opposition... But now Amtrak is opposing the Monmouth JCT plan , due to its not Grade Separated when merging with the NEC. Jamesburg still opposes for ridiculous reasons , but it looks like there about to crack. I still wonder about the Route 9 Bus Rapid Transit..... When the state gets opposed like this they move onto other projects...

Yea , unfortunately that will never happen due to the type of rock that lies in the Palisades...its extremely hard and would be like the 15 Billion $$ Second Avenue Subway. But i will say if they built under JFK boulevard and ran form Journal SQ to Fort Lee it could get at least 450,000 daily users. An Elevated line could be build but that would probably be opposed by just about everyone.

But Hudson County Needs a New Subway running under its Spine , buses do not cut it and NJT does a terrible job in the Frequency dept.... The HBLR was originally going to be built up JFK but was rerouted to the shore of the NJ Gold Coast for Redevelopment proposes.

I forgot to Say a few things. A Bus Rapid Transit line will run on Route 9 , it would run form Freehold to South Amboy. Serving : Freehold , Morganville , Old Bridge , Brownville , Madison Park and South Amboy. Then theres phase 2 of the New Brunswick light Rail , that would serve : Milltown , East Brunswick , South River , Sayerville , Madison Park , and South Amboy. Both lines would connect to different Rail and Bus systems.

You never know , there are less NIMBY in South Jersey then North or Central....so depending on how the Glassboro line goes and attracts in ridership you might see a Millville line extension study come quickly...

I'm pretty well educated on the NJ Transit system bro...the reason I'd wish the PATH would be in UC and Weehawken specifically the lower part is because its $52 a month to go right from where I need to be in the city.

I prefer to pay $52 a month on PATH costs to NYC as apposed to around $100 or more on bus/rail + PATH costs or bus + subway monthly costs.

Go on njtransit.com and the PATH site and educate yourself on prices and convenience.
