Hi all,
I am on seasonal unemployment. I have worked varying hours throughout the winter months, and am still owed 4 paychecks. We get paid weekly. I have another job offer that will start between April 1 and April 10th of this year. If I accept this job, which will pay more and the payroll is better (old job did not use payroll company, owner cut checks himself) will I lose the benefits I am collecting now? I feel as if Im not going to be paid what is owed for the hours I worked. I had to claim those hours which drastically lowered what I could collect. When I reapplied for the claim, they put me back on the old benefits I was on before I got my current job. I am so lost, and it doesnt look like my job will be having any solid work in the upcoming few months. If any it will continue to be sporadic and not amount to more than 25-30hrs a week. Does anyone know what the procedure is if you accept another job and there is a delay in the start date? Can you still collect? Thanks in advance.
