By "Googling" for all of about...5 seconds...I found statistics that indicate a very low crime rate for Cookstown in comparison to both state and national crime levels. I would directly post that information, but the last time that I did that, it was removed by the moderator.

So--try to remember that Google is your friend, so to speak.
If I found the crime stats for Cookstown in about 5 seconds, you should be able to do the same. Just enter "cookstown, nj crime statistics" in Google and you will find the answer to your query.

I think that you want to live a little further out. Wrightstown is terrible and Cookstown can't be much better. Look a little further out. There are lovely historic homes as well as new or newer housing in the area. You're looking at New Egypt area, Chesterfield, Cream Ridge. There are a couple of wineries, golf courses and lovely natural areas for hiking, fishing, hunting. Big plus, you'll live within driving distance of the War of the Worlds monument.
