Does anyone know where I can donate a 20 inch non flat panel tv. Goodwill and Salvation army won't take it and I don't know what else to do! I don't want to just throw it out because its a perfectly good tv, but not can't find anywhere that will take it.
looking for somewhere Wayne/Montclair area if you have any suggestions
Agreed Freecycle is a good place to get rid of that, someone who can use it will pick it up. I think the places like Goodwill might only take TV's that have digital tuners for DTV, or what we call ATSC, built in, yet anyone can use a DTV converter with the older tv's to watch free TV.

Goodwill only accepts TVs made after 2002--or in other words--those TVs that have a digital tuner.
If nobody from Craig's List or Freecycle wants the TV, bear in mind that it can be recycled in other ways. For instance, in Somerset County, the County Recycling Center in Bridgewater accepts all types of electronic devices on the first Saturday of each month. Other counties may have similar programs.
Something to keep in mind. I know we got a letter recently saying we couldn't leave TVs out for garbage collection. Had to take them someplace specific.
put it out with the bulk pick up. someone will take it.
