Well, we just moved here in the fall, and my backyard consists of grass and a privacy fence... very bare.

Can anyone recommend a good landscaping company that specializes in design and has a good knowledge of trees and shrubs?

If anyone here has any recommendations as to fast-growing trees (evergreen or deciduous) that would be good to make the yard more private, I would appreciate what works for you (or what hasn't worked). My yard gets a lot of afternoon sun.

Thanks!

I think you'll have better luck in the garden forum, even though it's area specific. Worth a shot...

I wouldn't know of a company offhand but there's a website that just launched in north Jersey that allows you to submit a request for things like landscaping and then they have companies in the area that respond with offers and information. It's called Squidjob.com. I haven't tried it out yet but it seems like a pretty convenient thing to at least give a shot if you're stuck.

Thank you, I'll try the garden forum. If anyone has any local suggestions, I'd still appreciate them.
